Applying for the research allowance.

But how?

The Research Allowance Act (FZulG) passed by the German government on December 14, 2019 now also provides tax benefits for research and development work in Germany and brings it into line with the European competitive environment.

The funding of innovation and experimentation activities, particularly among SMEs, is intended to make companies fit for the future, strengthen their competitiveness and thus Germany as a business location.

The ITS Förderberatung team in Austria has been successfully identifying eligible projects, preparing technical documentation and drafting applications for research allowances for 12 years. This compact, practice-based expertise also navigates your research and development projects in a well-founded and professional manner to the tax benefits for your R&D risk regulated in the Research Allowance Act.

Total expenditure (companies and the state) on R&D in 2019 amounted to 3.17% of gross domestic product. The German government has set a target of 3.5% to be achieved by 2025. According to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Germany ranks third and is one of the world leaders in research and development spending.
